Bagnone (Massa) guided canyoning half day tour

Would you like to enjoy a great canyoning adventure, jumping and sliding in a beautiful stream in the Tuscany region in Italy?  We invite you to join us for a fun half-day canyoning tour in the comune of Bagnone, in the Massa province.

We have two options for a tour in this area: the Torrente Acquetta and the Torrente Re di Valle. Canyoning is a fascinating activity to carry out in a group and is perfect for people who -especially in the summer months- are looking to spend a day in a refreshing place, far from crowded beaches. 

Canyoning is the descent of a water course, and unlike other water sports like rafting or kayaking, in a canyoning tour we cross the creeks on foot, without the aid of a canoe. Our progression follows the direction of the water, we never go backwards. We will enjoy some dips, jumps and slides, that may involve the use of rope.

The stream usually flows inside narrow gorges, deeply carved into the rock, with vertical waterfalls. Canyoning is an amazing adventure, that connects you a wild and beautiful environment. It’s like a natural Acquapark!

The Torrente Acquetta is a beautiful stream that offers a fairly open route with some great passages and fantastic waterfalls. Fortunately, the falls are out of the most powerful section of the stream. We can even enjoy some refreshing dips in the water of the Acquetta after previous verification. There are about 15 falls and the highest fall drop is about 30 meters high. The surrounding scenery is really beautiful: a stunning valley under the Apennines mountains. 

The Re di Valle stream forms a series of small waterfalls and bumps, like a perpetual water race. It is perfect for a quick refreshment and an ideal location for a fun adventure! After our canyoning tour, we will return to the base camp where we willl enjoy a typical lunch at a restaurant. 

We will provide you with the canyoning equipment before the tour begins.  We will wear helmets, life jackets and a wetsuit. Of course, in order to join this tour you must know how to swim. During this exciting tour, you will be guided by an IFMGA-certified guide, the only professional guides authorised to lead this activity.
