I invite you to discover the Kranjska Gora Valley, the most famous ski touring destination in Slovenia, with a great 2-day backcountry skiing trip!
Located in the beautiful Julian Alps, Kranjska Gora offers itineraries for all skiing levels and it is the prime adventure tourism location in the country, with a great diversity of activities to enjoy after your skiing adventure.
I am a local guide and I know this area like the back of my hand, so during this weekend I will take you to the enjoy the best runs, according to your skills and experience. Your safety and satisfaction are always my top priority, so we will adapt this trip to your wishes and level.
From easy to challenging ski touring itineraries, there are unique descents to enjoy in the Kranjska Gora Valley, with a vertical gain that ranges from 600 to 1500m. These are some of the ski touring itineraries we could cover during our days together:
Pod kriško steno: +1000m of altitude gain and 1 hour of skiing. An intermediate level itinerary which usually has some powder.
Kotovo sedlo: +1360m of altitude gain and 1.5 hours of skiing. Also intermediate level.
Triglavski dom Kredarica: +1640m of altitude gain and 1.5 hours of skiing. Skin up to the highest hut in Slovenia, just below Mount Triglav.
Dovška Baba: depending on snow conditions between 400-1000m of altitude gain and 1-2 hours of skiing time. Easy itinerary.
Begunjščica: +1000m of altitude gain and 1.5 hours of skiing. One of the best ski tours in the country, only suitable for experienced ski tourers.
We could also spend a day at the Kranjska Gora Ski Resort if you feel like carving some turns on piste after our ski touring adventure, or we could also drive to the Vogel Ski Resort, just an hour away, for some fine off-piste skiing.
The valley offers lots of other exciting activities to enjoy after a challenging ski touring trip. We could climb Mount Triglav, the highest mountain in Slovenia, or hike to a nearby hut (depending on conditions, we might have to put snowshoes on) or go ice climbing in Ledno Plezanje.
If you are interested in some city sightseeing, we could also drive to Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital (45 minutes away) or to Bled (30 minutes away), a beautiful mountain town with a stunning lake.
You will find many nice hotels in the area, perfect to relax after some thrilling days of skiing. Some of them have spas and, even if you are not staying in one of them, you can still pay an entrance fee and enjoy the facilities. These are some of the hotels I recommend:
Find this proposal tempting? Just send me a request and join me in Kranjska Gora! I love guiding my clients on unique ski tours in the area. Contact me and we’ll start planning your trip! If you have more time available, check out my 4-day backcountry skiing trip in Kranjska Gora.

You can fly in Ljubljana, the Slovenian capital, or Venice, in Italy. Let me know if you want me to arrange a transfer for your group. This will cost around 100-150 euros for a group of 7.
You can also rent a car. The Ljubljana airport is 65 km away from the Kranjska Gora Valley (around 50 minutes). The Venice airport is 230 km away (2.5 hours).
I recommend you rent your equipment back home, as rental options are limited in Kranjska Gora.
If your group is larger than 6, I can always bring another IFMGA guide from my team.

Mountain Guide
I am a IFMGA certified mountain guide, ski instructor, and sports teacher.
I believe guides do their best job when they guide in the mountains they are most familiar with. That is one of the biggest reasons why I specialize in guiding in Slovenia. I climb Triglav more than 25 times per year, which means I have climbed the most famous peak in my country around 400 times.
If you want to climb or ski in the Slovenian mountains, I am the right choice. I guide via ferrata, rock climbing, snow climbing, ice climbing, hikes, freeride skiing, and ski touring. Most of my summer work involves climbing Triglav, and most of my winter work involves Triglav and ski touring around it.
Slovenia offers good options for all of these activities, so you are welcome to take a look at my trips and find something for yourself. If you don't find anything, let me know, and I will see if I can help you!
I speak English. Ich spreche auch ein bisschen Deutsch. Parlo anche un po' di Italiano e hablo también un poco de Español.
If I am not available to guide you, one of the super experienced guides in my team will be your guide.
