Backcountry skiing on Mount Washington, NH, 1-day Introductory course

Ideal for beginners, this introductory level course will help you learn the skills necessary for safe and successful back country skiing. This course takes place on Mount Washington (1,917m), in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Throughout this course, you will learn several things that will help you, not only on Mount Washington, but on future back country trips you may embark on. Beginning with a detailed gear check, we will head out to the mountain. Once there, we will begin covering several important aspects of back country skiing. Some of those aspects include route finding, identifying hazards and other important lessons.

Along with the lessons learned during this course, you will also get to enjoy some splendid views of the White Mountains. Furthermore, the descents you will get to experience on this day long course are wonderful.

In order to participate on this trip, you should have some prior skiing experience. You should also be in good physical condition.
