Trekking Guide

I'm a JMGA certified hiking and ski guide and UIMLA mountain leader. I've traveled more than 50 countries as tour guide of trekking, skiing, cycling tour. I've visited overseas mountains such as Europe Alps, Canadian Rockies, New Zealand, Patagonia. I stayed in Zermatt, Switzerland for 4 years as trekking and skiing guide.

Even I traveled many countries, I also love to walk and ski the beautiful mountains in Japan. We have distinct four seasons, volcanos, hot springs in our mountain areas.
My favorite mountain area is the North Japan Alps, Mt. Fuji and Yatsugatake mountains. Of course sake and tasty Japanese food too!

I hope you to enjoy the nature, culture and communication with Japanese people during your stay in Japan. Looking forward to enjoying Japanese mountains with you!

What people are saying about Yuichi

Rob

I highly recommend Yuichi as a mountain guide for climbing mount Fuji. When we first arrived in Fujiyoshida, it was overcast and we were worried we wouldn't be able to get the views we hoped for. However, behind the scenes, Yuichi had the foresight to schedule our climb around the cloud forecast, so we summited mount Fuji when skies were clear. Yuichi was punctual with our pickup and communicated with us prior to ensure we were all on the same page. Yuichi had all the equipment you would need for the climb available for rent. His English is excellent and he had a lot of interesting knowledge on the mountain. My friend that I was climbing with experienced altitude sickness and needed to take a break from summitting. This happened at the 8th station, approximately 3,100m above sea level. Yuichi was patient and kind about the situation and had no problems waiting for my friend to re-regulate. Yuichi was comforting and empathetic which was greatly appreciated by my friend. Yuichi was a positive and fun-spirited person to be around. My friend and I are extremely grateful we got to experience this climb. I wish I could give 7 stars.

We really had a great trip to Mount Fuji. Everyone who is in Japan should do it! Yuichi was a really great guide! He really knew his way around the area and you can tell that he has been doing this for many years. We felt very comfortable with him at all times. He was able to answer every question we had perfectly. Thanks to Yuichi, we had a really great day.

Climbing Mt Fuji was an exhilarating adventure. End of September, we were the only ones on the mountain so no crowds. It was raining and cold at the top, but our guide Yu was patient with our climb. I had altitude sickness (recommend bringing Diamox) and was able to summit. Yu picked up us at our hotel in a up to date van and drove us back. The total Yoshida climb took us about 11 hours even with my stops for altitude sickness. I felt Yu really cared about our well being and spoke excellent English so communication of needs was easy. I plan on taking another trip with Yu on the seaside route in a few years. Thank you for this wonderful experience!! LCDR Agnes Sansone

We didn't expect the hut was a mix with male. They shld have separate the female n male instead of sleeping side by side. It's so uncomfortable. No privacy too. Our guide Yuichi was very patient, kind and caring. Thanks for guiding us up and down safely. We didn't reached the summit as my daughter was too sick and tired. It's ok as we have a lots of fun and enjoy the climb. Thanks once again.

Abdullah
