Auron, French Alps, Short Snowshoeing Hike

Well known for its great skiing, the Auron resort area in the French Alps is a beautiful place to visit. However, on this short, 1.5 hour snowshoeing trip I would like to take you on the other side of the area.

Getting to the snowshoeing area will be very easy, and will only require a short 5 minute car ride from the tourist office, which will be our meeting point.

This trip is very easy, casually placed, lovely hike. The track we will take is flat and stress fee. As a result of the easy nature of the trip, it is only open to anybody. No prior experience is necessary, and there are no technical aspects to this trip.

The landscape around Auron is gorgeous. Covered in a blanket of snow, everything around you will seem brighter. And due to that crisp white blanket of snow, you will also be able to see tracks left behind by the area’s wildlife. Furthermore, when it comes to the scenery itself, there are many beautiful things to see during this trip. For example, you will get to see the Tinee valley, the town of Saint Etienne and the high ridges standing tall across the Italian border.
