There are thousands of hiking options in Colorado during the summer months. And this this option is definitely one of the best.
The trek begins at the entry to the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness Area. This area is home to the most photographed place in North America: The Maroon Bells. These peaks are part of the Elk Mountain Range, which is a fantastic chain of mountains that run from north to south through central Colorado. After that we will go up to the West Maroon Valley, passing the Maroon Lake and the Crater Lake. In the valley you will get to enjoy some magnificent views. Finally, we will cross the West Maroon Pass (3,800m) and make our way up into the Schofield basin. In the basin we will cross through a beautiful wildflower field all the way to the trail head, where a shuttle will take us to Crested Butte. The entire journey will take approximately 8 to 10 hours.
So send us a request to enjoy this 1-day Aspen to Crested Butte trek. We would be happy to safely guide you through it.
