Description

Known for great mountaineering, skiing and sight seeing, the Aosta valley in the Alps of Italy is also home to some great rock climbing as well.

For 1, or 2 days, depending on how much rock climbing you want to enjoy, there are several great spots to choose from in the Aosta valley. The focus of this trip will be in the lower region of the valley. There, you will get to choose from beautiful single, or multi-pitch climbing routes. A few examples of where you can climb include the Corma di Machaby and the Pilastro Lomasti. These are the two most famous spots and offer some great climbs. They also offer some mesmerizing views of the valley as well. Furthermore, because of the number of routes and spots, there are walls fit for climbers of every level. And for those looking for more challenging climbs, we can also visit the Orco valley. This area offers a more alpine, and thus more difficult, climbing opportunity. The spots we choose will be based on several factors, including weather conditions, your skill level, as well as approaching time.**The Aosta valley is an absolutely gorgeous place. Full of great views of the Alps, and spectacular landscapes, it is worth visiting just for the scenery. However, on this trip, you will get to test your self physically, climbing the valley’s best rock walls. And when you reach the top of those walls, those previously views will be even better! So send me a request, and let’s start climbing.**Would you like to enjoy some skiing in the Aosta valley? Then join me on this 1 day ski tour in Gressoney.

What people are saying about -Guide Monterosa

It was just amazing. The guide was both fun and serious. Reassuring and very competent. The helicopter company was great too and the pilot (Alessandro) was super fast.

Amazing experience ! Very nice guide, focused on security and carring his clients

Just have to say what an excellent week I had in Val Formazza last week with Heli Guides. Our guide Alberto was great and was able to find us great lines to ski as well as being great company and possessing a great nose for a fine bottle of wine. The hotel we stayed in - the Walser Schtuba - was great with comfortable rooms and top notch meals and wine. You could not ask for more after a great days skiing than to come back and relax in this great hotel. I was most impressed with all aspects of Heli Guides / Guide Monterosa and there willingness to make your holiday truly memorable.

Thank you for a great heliski day!!
