The Annapurna Royal Trek is a Nepal classic. Are you ready to discover its unique charm? Then join us on this amazing 10-day adventure in the Himalayas!

This famous trek was dubbed royal after Prince Charles and ninety companions set off on the age-old trail in the eighties. Following a path at the foothills of the Annapurna Range, the Royal trek is easygoing and open to all. It is a great way to explore the Himalayan culture and come in touch with Gurung villages and stunning mountain vistas.

On this 10-day adventure, we will set off from Kathmandu to Pokhara and from there, we will begin trekking. On the way, we will see rice fields, local villages, rhododendron forests, sacred places and more. You can find a full and detailed program below. Of course, everyone is welcome to join and we will be more than happy to guide you!

  • INCLUDED:
  • Airports pick up and Drop by private car/van/bus.
  • Deluxe accommodation in Kathmandu (on the arrival day and after the trekking).
  • Your standard meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) during the trekking.
  • Ground transportation by flight or private car from Kathmandu – Pokhara –Kathmandu and by car from Pokhara to the trek starting point and trek ending point to Pokhara.
  • All accommodations in lodges/tea houses during the treks.
  • An experienced, helpful and friendly Guide, porters (1 porter for 2 peoples).
  • Salary, Food, Drinks, Accommodation, Transportation, and Insurance for the Guide and Porter.
  • Two night’s standard accommodation in Pokhara (First night of the trekking and last night of the trekking).
  • Arrangement of Emergency Helicopter service which will be paid by your Travel insurance company.

  • All personal expenses such as bar bills, water, tea/coffee, snacks, shower, battery recharge laundry charge, etc.
  • Personal clothing and gears, sleeping bag and Down jacket for the trek.
  • Tipping (expected by guides and porters, but not mandatory).
  • Cost raised by flight cancelation, emergency rescue charges, landslide, weather, political unrest, illness, rerouting, etc. which are not under our control.
  • Price per person for groups of 10+ US$ 600.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1320m)

Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.)

We will take an early drive/flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.). One can view green hills, beautiful valleys and some mountain views on the way. Pokhara is regarded as a tourist paradise, full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, temples, etc. You will enjoy views of Phewa Taal (lake), Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

Day 3: Pokhara to Bijayapur Khola, Kalikasthan (1370m.)

After lunch at the hotel, we will drive from Pokhara to Bijayapur Khola (Bijayapur Army Camp)-Kalikasthan (1370m.). The trail will take us through rice fields near the Army Camp, and then ascend through Rakhigaon to Chautara. En route, we will enjoy the majestic views of the Himalayas. Finally, we will reach Kalikasthan at (1370m.) which offers a panoramic view of mountains, Begnas Tal and Pokhara city.

Day 4: Kalikasthan to Lama Khet (1680m.)

We commence our trek from Kalikasthan to LamaKhet (1680m.). Following a gentle path, passing through local villages of mixed ethnic groups, rice terraces up to Mardi Khola, we will proceed towards Lama Khet. It is a small village where we will stay overnight.

Day 5: Lama Khet to Siklis (1980m.)

We will trek from Lama Khet to Siklis (1980m.).The trail stretches flat along the river bank until you reach Khilan Gaon. On the way, we will pass through Parju village. The trail again climbs till Siklis village, the oldest and the biggest Gurung village.

Day 6: Siklis to Neuli Kharka (2200m.)

It is our turn to trek from Siklis to Neuli Kharka or Forest camp (2200m.). En route, we will penetrate rhododendron and oak forests following a gentle ascent path. Overnight at Neuli Kharka.

Day 7: Neuli Kharka to Ghale Gaon (2000m.)

We will trek from Forest Camp to Ghale Gaon (2000m.). En route, we will go through forests covered with rhododendrons and cross the highest pass of this trek. After crossing the pass, we will descend steeply to reach Ghale Gaon, a small village which is inhabited by Gurung and Magar community.

Day 8: Ghale Gaon to Pokhara

We will trek from Ghale Gaon to Pokhara. The trek descends gently up to Hyamgja (1070m.). We will board our vehicle at Hyamgja and drive to Pokhara. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 9: Pokhara to Kathmandu

We will drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus. After a normal drive of seven hours, we will reach Kathmandu. While driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu, we will head up to Damauli, Dumre, Muglin, and Kurintar where Nepal’s first Cable Car is operated to reach the Manakamana Temple. One can also fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Day 10: Final Departure
