The trek will begin and end in the capital city of Kathmandu. After an enriching day of seeing several historic places in the city, you’ll head to Pokhara. Following the Marsyangdi river, the trail will lead all the way to its source at the glacial lake in Manang. The trail leads to the top of Thorungla (5,416 meters), the highest point of this trip to see stunning views.
Thereafter, you’ll begin your descent to Pokhara, passing by the holy place of Muktinath. The waters of Muktinath originate from the Kali Gandaki river and the place is a much-visited and revered destination in the region. Walking past the deep gorge and the Kali Gandaki river valley, we’ll pass by the villages of Jomsom, Tatopani (hot spring) and Marpha-Tukuche to end the amazing trek.

A necessary day to rest, acclimatize and explore Manang.
The trail from here leads to a slow climb until you reach the small settlements of Yak-Kharka for overnight.
Passing by the last settlement of Lear, the track gently winds up offering grand views of the Annapurna II, Gangapurna, Cloche, and the close-up view of Chuli peaks, until you reach the Upper Phedi or High Camp where there are few teahouses or lodges.

Today, you’ll see a dramatic change in the vegetation with arid desert giving way to pine and conifer forests on your way. Passing between the two giant peaks of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna, you’ll first reach the village of Ghasa and then head to Tatopani,
Tatopani (Hot Spring) village has a warm sub-tropic climate with a large hot spring pool just by the bank of the River Kaligandaki.
