Description

The Annapurna Base Camp Trek (ABC) is one of the most classic treks in the Himalayas, offering spectacular 360 º panoramic views of the Annapurna mountain range and the possibility of discovering the everyday life of small and remote villages.

This 10-day program takes you on a 7-day trek to the Annapurna Base Camp, reaching a maximum altitude of 4130 meters. Commonly known as the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek, this unique experience in Nepal, follows an itinerary with breathtaking views of the Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhare among other stunning mountains.

We will meet in Kathmandu and travel to the beautiful city of Pokhara on a tourist bus. On the second day, we will travel from Pokhara and start our trek from Kimche to Ghandruk, a typical Gurung village, and stay overnight in a teahouse.

Although we will have to face some long step ascents and descents, this spectacular trekking trail doesn’t offer acclimatization problems. Following the Annapurna Base Camp trekking route gradually uphill, we will get amazing extensive views of majestic mountains of the Annapurna range.

If you come during spring, the trail is full of Gurans or Rhododendron flowers, filling the forest with red, pink and white colors. Although the recommended seasons for this trek are spring and autumn, it is possible to do the trek all year round.

From the Annapurna Base Camp you will enjoy impressive views of the close-vertical south face of Annapurna I (the world’s 10th highest mountain- 8,091m) standing above the sanctuary to the northwest. Generally, the morning is the best time to enjoy the mountains views. Other mountains you can see from ABC are Tharpu Chuli (5663m), Singu Chuli peak (6501m); Hiunchuli (6441m) and South Annapurna (7219m).

The main viewpoint, with beautiful prayer flags and different countries flags, is the memorial Chorten (Buddhist stone monument), built in memory of Anatoli Boukrev, a well known Kazakh climber who died in 1997 by an avalanche.

We will get back to Pokhara and travel back to Kathmandu, where our trip ends. You can check the day-by-day itinerary below.

Don’t miss out on this unique trek in Nepal! Just send us a request, book your trip and join us on the Annapurna Base Camp trek, an unforgettable trekking adventure in the Himalayas.
