The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located on the border between Tennessee and North Carolina. This trip is your chance to hike one of its most popular trails that goes from Alum Cave to Mount LeConte. Come join us!
Encompassing 522,419 acres, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is one of the largest protected areas in the eastern United States. With sixteen mountains higher than 6,000 feet (1,830 m), amazing old growth forests and a rich wildlife, it offers a breathtaking terrain for outdoor adventures.
On this day trip we will hike through the Alum Cave Trail, one of the most famous routes in the area. It starts at a massive concave overhang that towers 75-80 feet high, and leads to Mount LeConte (6,593 ft – 2,010 m), the third highest summit in the National Park.
For this outing, you should be physically able to hike uphill for 2.5 miles (6 to 8 hours). Of course, we will be there to help and guide you.
So, if you are up for this hiking day trip in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, please contact us. The scenic landscapes of the Alum Cave Trail will amaze you!
We can also guide you through the renowned Appalachian Trail: check it out!
