Tucked into the heart of the French Alps, the picturesque resort town of Chamonix is the perfect base for a classic itinerary of alpine climbing.
Over the course of our five days together, we will make five incredible ascents up some of the most iconic peaks around Mont Blanc.
The fun begins on day one, when we will tackle either Aiguille Petit Verte or Aiguille Marbrees. This serves as a good warm up and acclimatization climb as it only involves a short ridge route over mixed snow, ice and rock.
The next day will be dedicated to reaching the three summits of Pointe Lachenal. Starting from the Aiguille du Midi cable car, we will enjoy some more ridge climbing as we head over mixed terrain.
This route will require some rope-work skills and will serve as a good refresher for team rope movement. We will spend the night at the Cosmiques mountain hut.
The following day, we will climb Cosmiques Ridge, which is a technical route over mixed terrain. This will be the most demanding route that we have encountered so far and will require some crampon climbing as well.
After reaching the summit, we will return to Chamonix via the Aiguille du Midi cable car.
Our fourth day involves summiting Aiguille D’Entreves, which is quite similar to the Cosmiques route. The climb will involve heading onto the massif via cable car before heading over mixed terrain, rock climbing, abseiling and glacier hiking our way to the top.
We will enjoy some spectacular views of Mont Blanc from the summit before heading to the Torino mountain hut, where we will spend the night.
The fifth and final day of our trip is the grand finale: climbing Aiguille de Rochefort. From the mountain hut, we will make the 700 meter vertical ascent, using all of the skills we have practiced on the previous days until we reach the top.
From its summit, expect the best views of the entire trip and the sense of satisfaction that comes with knowing you've conquered the classic climbing itinerary.

Mountain Guide
I am an IFMGA certified guide based in Chamonix. I travel worldwide in pursuit of mountain adventures with my clients. I began the year skiing the legendary "Japow" on the island of Hokkaido, Japan, from January through February. In March, I am backs to Chamonix and the European Alps to guide the classic hut to hut routes, a variety of ski mountaineering objectives as well as lift-accessed freeriding. From May until September the focus shifts towards rock and alpine climbing. I guide on the most popular mountains in the Alps, including Mont Blanc and Matterhorn. In September and October you will find me leading expeditions in India or Nepal. In between all of this, I find time to use his expertise in the mountains to work on movies, commercials and other commercial projects.
I am also an accomplished ultrarunner, having completed the 166km Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc, 120km TDS from Courmayer to Chamonix, 100km Ultra Trail Sierra de Monsant and many other challenging runs. It's hard to choose favorites, but skiing from the top of Denali in Alaska, and the 7,546 meter summit of Mustagh Ata in China stand out as a couple of my most memorable ski experiences in the mountains. My favorite climbs are the ones I made in Peru, Yosemite and Chamonix.

What an adventure! After 5 days of acclimatization far from rest (I'm not ready to forget the crossing of the arete d'Entreves), we were able to try the ascent of Mont Blanc in ideal conditions! Thanks to Pawel Kunachowicz, I was able to touch the mountaineering in the high mountain safely and in optimal conditions!
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
