Description

Chamonix is one of the most famous alpine climbing centers in the world and offers endless options for mountaineers.

During this week in Chamonix we will climb some of the most classic mountain ascents and ridges of the Mont Blanc massif, like the Cosmiques, Entrevès, Marbrées, Papillons and Aiguille de Rochefort.

Other possible routes are Perrons, Soldato Crest (Monte Rosa), Fleche Rousse (Aiguille d’Argentière), northeastern side of Ronde and Chapelle de la Glière.

Our itinerary will depend on the physical and technical conditions of the group. Indeed alpine climbing is a very technical sport. Climbers who want to participate in this program need to have the the following skills:

  • Minimum level of rock climbing IV. This means that you must be able to perform autonomously in a multi-pitch route at high altitude. Also, it may involve multi-hour approaches in challenging alpine terrain;

  • Know how to secure a first rope;

  • Know how to rappell;

  • Good handling of crampons and ice ax;

  • Excellent physical condition.

Fantastic climb! We were the only people climbing the normal route so we had the mountain to ourselves. Fede was great, highly professional, and he assessed the risks very well. Highly recommended!
