Description

This Aiguilles d’Entrèves traverse is one of the Alps' great classics! Running along the border between France and Italy, this traverse offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountain peaks, including Tour Ronde, Mont Blanc du Tacul and the Brenva face of Mont Blanc.

Suitable for intermediate mountaineers, the Aiguilles d’Entrèves is a great training ground to prepare for bigger challenges.

It begins at the top of the Skyway cable car in Courmayeur. From Pointe Helbronner, we'll put our crampons on to cross the Glacier du Geant. Then, from Col d'Entreves we'll go for the Aiguille d’Entrèves summit (3604m).

Although you can complete the traverse in under one day, you need to have a very good physical condition and also some technical climbing skills to tackle the last part of the ascent. The route is fun and quite diverse although the last stretch is quite exposed and climbers need a very good head for heights. Some crampon experience may also come in handy.

If this Aiguille d’Entrèves traverse sounds interesting, contact me to arrange the details of your visit. I can promise an awesome experience climbing one of the most well-known aiguilles in the Alps!

I also offer several other ascents in the Alps. For example, check out my Arete des Cosmiques guided ascent.

The trip was simply awesome. Benja is such a great mountain professional, It was a delight to walk along his side. I would definitely recommend both the man and the guide. He provided us with good tips and a good amount of material as well. His pricing practice is well fitted and super flexible. If you're still wondering whether you want to go or not, please help yourself and go for it! Kévin
