Description

Join me on this hiking and wild camping week in Sweden, and we will explore and discover the postcard-pretty and lovely Abisko National Park, one of the most beautiful parts of Scandanavia featuring some of the best and most pristine natural environment one can imagine, with mountains, vast valleys and mesmerizing lakes creating a peaceful and relaxing vibe.

Abisko National Park is located in the far North of Sweden, 200km North of the Arctic Circle, and is an immensely popular tourist destination owing to its natural beauty and plentiful opportunities to indulge in outdoor activities. Reindeer, moose, lemmings and squirrels are some of the more common animals found in the park.

We meet at Kiruna Airport on day 1, and from there we head straight to the national park.

Every day of our journey involves new and exciting adventures, from hiking along some of the beaten and battered trails, climbing up the numerous mountains and taking in the truly epic and awesome views we constantly encounter, to camping overnight in the wild, feeling the crunch of the gorgeous Autumn leaves beneath our feet and being wowed by the Northern Lights.

The sumptuous and sublime scenery on offer is what keeps bringing people back to Abisko, as the relative lack of people, sparse landscapes and plentiful virgin terrain make it a pleasant and tranquil place to forget the modern world.
