Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Amboseli National Park

We'll begin our journey with a morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel or airport and embark on a scenic drive to Amboseli National Park (approximately 4 and a half hours to the main gate). Renowned for its picturesque scenery against the backdrop of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli features expansive open plains. Upon arrival, engage in a brief safari game drive before heading to Kibo Lodge for check-in, lunch, and a short rest. In the later afternoon, enjoy another safari game drive within the park. The day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay at Amboseli AA Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Travel to Ngulia Safari Lodge

Embark on an early morning safari game drive, then return to your lodge for breakfast. Following breakfast, depart from Amboseli for Tsavo West (approximately a 3-hour drive to the main gate), enjoying game viewing en route to Ngulia Safari Lodge with a stop at Mzima Springs. Here, you can observe hippos and fish in crystal-clear water, with the possibility of spotting crocodiles and monkeys. Continue to Ngulia Safari Lodge for check-in, followed by lunch at Kilanguni Serena Safari Lodge. In the afternoon, indulge in another safari game drive, and later, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Ngulia Safari Lodge.

Day 3: Game drive in Tsavo East

Start the day with an early morning safari game drive, followed by a return to your hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, embark on a game-filled journey from Tsavo West to Tsavo East (approximately a 3-hour drive to the main gate), famous for its abundant elephants and the legendary man-eating lions. Upon arrival at Tsavo East, enjoy game viewing en route to your lodge, where you'll check in and have lunch at Voi Safari Lodge. In the later afternoon, engage in another safari game drive in the park, including a visit to Aruba Dam. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at Voi Safari Lodge.

Day 4: Final safari day

Begin your day with an early morning safari game drive, followed by a return to your lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, check out of the park and proceed with a drive to Nairobi, reaching the airport in the evening.

The Climbing Guides and service in both Kenya and Tanzania were super (5+ stars) Kenya Shem, Joxhu, Joseph & Agustin super and thanks. For Kilimanjaro, Deus and Goodlucky were fantastic. However Claudios needs to update the schedule (Lake Nakuru day 7 was canceled) and make available lunches (they were missing on 3 days to and from Nairobi) and make clear when travel will be alone. Finally the Nairobi service agent pushes additional add on Nairobi packages. These are of poor value and should be avoided. These additional package coverage was misleading and I should have avoided completely. This was a Nairobi issue only. Everyone else was above board and super to work with. in summary, the climbs are great and highly recommended. Note the published schedule is not exact and deal with the Nairobi service agent with caution. (Don't take the additional offerings.) Overall it was a very good experience where I met with many great people. Thanks to all.
