The Monte Rosa Massif is the perfect introduction to the high mountains and will fill your days with incredible landscapes, soft glaciers, and cozy mountain huts. It is also a unique training ground, with plenty of 4000m peaks to climb.
On this 6-day adventure, we will explore the beautiful mountains of Monte Rosa and train in different mountaineering skills and techniques, including basic mountaineering skills, crampons and ice axe handling, glacier progression, and safety. Furthermore, we will learn the "rules" of the high mountains, everything you need to increase your experience for future ascents! You will also have the chance to climb Europe's highest mountain hut (Capanna Margherita 4554m)!
To join this tour, you will need a good fitness level and basic mountaineering skills. Prior summer and winter experience in mountains of up to 1000m is required. Please keep in mind that you will need to walk for many hours with a backpack and that high altitude is dangerous if you suffer from hypertension.
If you would like to join this unique experience in the Monte Rosa massif, then send your booking request and we can start planning an unforgettable mountain climbing tour.
Meeting in Cervinia and ascent to Teodulo Hut, a cozy mountain refuge with an incredible landscape of the Matterhorn, we will work on crampon techniques to learn how to move better and safer on ice and snow and create a solid foundation for all our next experiences.
We will climb the Western Breithorn, a 4165m peak on the border between Switzerland and
Italy, which will give us a breathtaking view of Zermatt and all the surrounding mountains. As soon as we get off we will move to Gressoney.
We will take advantage of the "low altitude" and the adaptation of our bodies by resting
actively. We will review knots and mountaineering maneuvers and then traverse through a via ferrata.
We will use the afternoon for a yoga session with mindfulness and mental preparation for the ascent of the following days together with coach Beatrice.
We will go up to the Mantova hut where we will master the techniques of rope binding and progression on the glacier as well as crevasse rescue maneuvers.
We will leave before dawn for the ascent to the highest refuge in Europe, Capanna Margherita hut; a bold structure built in 1983, which is set at an altitude of 4554 mt.
After a short break we will descend and climb the surrounding peaks like Zumstein 4563 mt and Parrotspitze 4432 mt.
In the afternoon, we will arrive at Gnifetti hut, a beautiful wooden mountain hut built on the top of a rocky ridge where you can really feel the mountaineering atmosphere.
We will start from the Gnifetti hut and if the conditions of the group and the mountain allow, we will climb other peaks in the massif such as Balmenhorn, and Pyramid Vincent or Punta Giordani.
After the climb, we will descend down to Punta Indren and down to Staffal.

You need to have endurance training and a long hike with a backpack. You need to be able to manage 1000mt of ascent with a 10kg backpack
Will I need to bring any technical equipment of my own? Is it possible to rent equipment, and if so, what would be the approximate cost of that?
Yes, you need both mountaineering clothes and technical equipment (harness, helmet, ice axe, crampons).
The technical equipment can be rented on-site for 10€/item per day.

We had a fantastic time on the Monte Rosa Tour and couldn’t recommend the team and trip highly enough. The tour was extremely well planned to ensure we had the best chance of achieving our goals whilst having a great time, thanks to a perfect mix of climbing and learning whilst giving our bodies a chance to adapt/ acclimatise and rest. Each day was varied and exciting and our guides were extremely knowledgeable, safe and great fun to spend a week with. The course was perfectly tailored to the teams skill level and allowed us all to have a brilliant time. Can’t thank Enrico, Marco and Francesco enough. Cheers guys
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
