Summit Europe's highest peak, Mont Blanc, with our expert guides!
Ascending to the summit of Mont Blanc is a coveted achievement for climbers worldwide. While not requiring extreme technical skills, excellent physical condition and proper acclimatization are crucial.
Our Express Ascent offer a faster and more affordable option compared to the 5-day program. These climbs are ideal for experienced mountaineers who've already acclimatized themselves to the altitude. This carefully crafted itinerary includes a second attempt on the third day in case of bad weather, fatigue, or altitude sickness.
Led by certified UIAGM/IFMGA guides, you'll be in the capable hands of seasoned professionals who know Chamonix like the back of their hand. They'll share their insider tips and secrets to craft a truly unique climb for you.
This challenging 3-day adventure demands an early start, long hours, and potential harsh weather, but the reward - conquering Mont Blanc - is unmatched!
Just contact us and we'll start planning your journey towards the summit of this iconic titan - the legendary Mont Blanc!
Meet in Chamonix (noon) or Les Houches cable car park. We'll take the scenic route - cable car & Mont Blanc rack railway - to Nid d'Aigle (2,362m). From there, a gentle 2-3 hour hike (800m elevation gain) leads to Tête Rousse Refuge (3,165m). Enjoy stunning views & prepare for your adventure!
Rise at 4 am for breakfast and gear up (headlamp, crampons, harness, helmet) before tackling the "Bowling Alley" at dawn. Ascend with cables to Goûter Refuge (3,815m) for a rest.
Navigate stunning glacial terrain, passing Dôme de Goûter (4,304m) with panoramic views. Brace for a technical climb along the exposed Bosses Ridge (Les Bosses) at 4,513m. The final ridge leads to Mont Blanc's summit (4,810m)!
Descend the same route and return to Goûter Refuge for rest. This challenging day requires early starts, long hours, and potential harsh weather. But the reward - conquering Mont Blanc - is unforgettable!
Today's focus is a safe descent! We'll wake up early and begin our trek down, aiming to pass the "Bowling Alley" before sunrise for optimal safety. After passing Tête Rousse Refuge, we can either stop briefly or continue directly to the Nid d'Aigle station (2,362m) for the train ride back.
If the previous day's summit attempt wasn't successful due to altitude, fatigue, or weather, we'll utilize today for one last push. An early wake-up call will be crucial to reach the summit early enough for a safe descent and train departure back to Chamonix.
The descent follows the same route as the ascent, offering a chance to appreciate the mountain from a different perspective.
Accommodation

Positioned at an altitude of approximately 3,835 meters (12,582 feet), it is a crucial part of the Goûter Route.

Meeting point
What experience and how fit do I need to be to climb this mountain? Is this program suitable for children or older people?
While climbing Mont Blanc does not involve technical climbing, as it's primarily an alpine ascent, participants are required to possess prior hiking experience. This may include previous hikes in the Pyrenees, the Scottish Munros, or equivalent endeavors. Although not mandatory, some familiarity with winter climbing is advisable. It is desirable to have some experience walking with the use of crampons and axe.
What is the best time of the year to climb this mountain?
End of May to mid September.
What is the guide-to-client ratio to climb this mountain?
The maximum guide-to-client ratio is 1:2, and we also do 1:1 climbs if you prefer to have a more personalized experience.
How far in advance should I start training and what kind of training do you suggest?
At least 5 to 6 months in advance.
Will there be porters to help to carry group and personal equipment?
No, you will carry all your gear. We recommend bringing a 35L to 40L backpack, but nothing larger, and keep the weight under 7kg.
Are there any other special requirements such as permits/insurance/vaccines that we need to consider before the tour?
Although our public liability insurance covers the activity, we strongly recommend that you obtain climbing/travel insurance and cancellation insurance to avoid any issues in case you need to make a claim.
Can I join a group?
Definitely! You can join a group of 2 people if you come on your own and want to join a group.
Will I need to bring any technical equipment of my own? Is it possible to rent equipment, and if so, what would be the approximate cost of that?
We provide technical gear such as ropes, slings, and carabiners. For personal equipment, you're welcome to bring your own. If you need to rent any items, we recommend Snell Sports in Chamonix—they're reliable and offer good prices. The final cost will depend on the items you need and the duration of the rental.
How will accommodation and meals be handled on the mountain?
You will be staying at Tête Rousse, Refuge du Goûter, all on a half-board basis. Participants will cover the cost of meals for the guide during the program. These are the meals and water that participants should provide for the guide:
What happens in the event of bad weather?
We will find an alternative (Monte Rosa, Gran Paradiso, etc).
