Join me for a spectacular 9-day ski touring program in the Lyngen Alps, in the north of Norway. April is an ideal time for this tour, since the days are very long; and May is even better, since it doesn't get dark at all. Throughout these months, the snow is still powdery, perfect for our adventure.

First, we will travel from Zurich to Tromso. Then, we will drive towards Olderdalen, where our comfortable, cozy chalet awaits (including a sauna!).
As from Day 2, I will guide on different routes among the countless slopes in the Lyngen Alps and the Kafjord Alps, in the east side of the Lyngenfjord. Some of the options include:
The classics: Storhaugen (1141m), Sorbmegaisa (1288m), Fastalstinden (1275m)
The hidden treasures: Svartfjellet (1162m), Nordmannviktinden (1355m) and Punkt (1243m)
The unnamed: a lot of great peaks haven't received a name
There is also the option of going on an excursion to the Uløya island with breathtaking descent towards the sea, and to the Arnøya island with the view of the endless polar sea.
On Day 9, we return to Tromso and fly back home.
The terrain on this tour consists of wide slopes and easy skiing conditions. Ascents are normally between 3 and 5 hours. You will need normal ski touring equipment suitable for crampons and LVS. Groups are between 2 and 6 guests.
Breakfast and dinner will be prepared by Ulrica at the chalet. The price also includes the Zurich-Tromso flight, and return. Departing from German or Austrian airports is possible upon request. Early bookings might be eligible for business class tickets, subject to availability.
This is a special price for bookings requested before November 19th, 2017. For bookings requested later the price is CHF 3280.- per person. Finally, cancellation insurance is compulsory.

Mountain Guide
I became a professional mountain guide after discovering that mountains and wild nature meant the life to me. In 1983 I completed my studies and started an amazing journey. I have been constantly on the road ever since, up in the Alps and on mountains and trekking areas on every continent.
Before I started taking guests on tours, my wife Ulrica was my climbing partner. Together, we spent many autumns in the Klausenpass climbing walls. After our daughter Heidi was born, she started coming along on our tours around the world. Later, our son Thomas and daughter Christina would join us. Even later, our granddaugther Jana came into our lives. All three of our children have become mountaineers as well. I am proud to say that world-strolling is in their blood too.
Having led groups in the Alps and other parts of the world for a long time, I witnessed how the alpine mountain landscape changed over the years. When I started off, we had to cook in the huts for ourselves. We now see suites, whirpools and saunas. Technical difficulties up in the mountain are mitigated with chains and wire ropes - a new way to live the mountain in a time-saving manner. Climbing routes that were inaccessible before have now been made open for the general public.
My heart lives for having more and more original natural experiences. This is the kind of experiences that have made us addicted to the mountain. I continue to strive for taking my guests off the beaten and better-known tracks. This is my commitment to you. I hope you can join me soon!

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
