Covering the core of the Brazilian state of Bahia, the Chapada Diamantina National Park is home to rough and rugged terrain swept with Atlantic forest and desert flora.
Considered one of the most beautiful trekking spots in the whole of Brazil, the national park that’s part of the Pati Valley, the extensive area is packed full of picturesque peaks, gushing waterfalls and wide flat areas.
This natural beauty spot in the northeast of the country has remained largely untouched over the centuries. The fertile lower regions were used to grow coffee beans.
Offering a complete experience of Brazilian nature, the 8-day trek covers vast landscapes and icons such as Cachoeirão, a dramatic waterfall complex reaching 300 meters.
Then there is the huge Castle Cave that is located at the top of the Serra da Lapinha. Here you can enjoy stunning views from the other side of the valley.
Mix your natural adventure with that of the local culture and habits of the community. Along the trip we will stay with natives of the area and get to know the people.
And when we’re not trekking, ascending and descending the slopes we will stop, relax and take a gentle swim in the natural pools of Águas Claras.

We start the 6-kilometer hike to the top of the Fumaça Waterfall. The trail ends at the 400-meter high canyon that offers a view of the highest waterfall in the country. Return by the same route and visit the Riachinho Waterfall, returning to village in the late afternoon. Hiking distance: 12 km.
We first ascend from the Pump to the Vieira, with incredible views of the Capão Valley, followed by the crossing of Vieira and Rio Preto, two extensive flat areas. We will take a snack stop in the Mirante, enjoying the landscapes of Serra da Lapinha and Morro do Pati. We finish the trail by arriving at the home of native residents. Hiking distance: 23 km.
We trek towards the Funis River, where it becomes more technical and runs along the banks of the river. We pass by incredible waterfalls before reaching a trail that goes to the Serra da Lapinha. We visit the Castle Cave, a huge cave of quartzite located at the top, where it is possible to cross and enjoy the view from the other side of the valley. At the end of the afternoon we arrive at the home of another native resident. Hiking distance: 12 km.
Hike towards the top view of Cachoeirão, one of the biggest attractions of the Pati, which is an impressive waterfall of 300 meters with several waterfalls, reaching almost 20 in the rainy season. Then we return to the valley in the late afternoon. Hiking distance: 18 km.
On our final day of hiking, we cross the Gerais of Rio Negro, ending in the village of Guine. There is a good climb at the beginning of the day, but the rest of the way is flat. Tour Operator
The year 2010 marked the beginning of a journey of creation of Nattrip, our company. Accessibility to ecotourism and adventure tourism was restricted, especially in Rio de Janeiro. There were still severe restrictions of public use to the existing Conservation Units, which went some way against what the world was experiencing. While other countries created policies to increase protected area visitation in an attempt to increase preservation, using the “understand to protect” approach, Brazil believed that prohibiting access was the best way to protect.
Thanks to the work of some conservation, tourism and sports entities, as well as some spheres of public power, this premise has gradually changed, giving space to a greater offer of experiences in the natural environment.
We understand that people, whether tourists or residents, needed tours and specialized services to practice the activities that these places provide. This is to promote a healthy life and generate environmental knowledge by insertion into the environment, creating a basis for environmental sustainability, responsibility, mutual conviviality, and protection.
That’s when we decided to create a company specialized in the eco-adventure segment, which could promote the sector with responsibility. A way of entertainment that creates environmental education by osmosis. However, the mission of Nattrip was beyond just being a company that provides nature and adventure tours.
We design the company’s performance in all aspects of tourism in Brazil, aiming to be a company of national reference, which can translate into quality assurance. Today Nattrip is one of the main agencies and operators of receptive tourism in Rio de Janeiro, a respected adventure operator in Brazil and has been showing all its power in the corporate, educational and travel segments.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
