Description

Rising up 5,895 meters in elevation, Mount Kilimanjaro towers over the surrounding serengeti. Heading up the Lemosho route to the summit of Africa is one of the best ways to see this iconic peak.

Over the course of our 8 days together, we will make a scenic approach to the foot of the mountain, spending our first two days hiking through thick rainforest until we reach one of the world's highest plateaus.

From here, we will cross the elevated moorlands, getting a chance to see some of Africa's most iconic wildlife as we go.

Finally, we will reach the foot of the mountain and spend the next three days traversing the steep and loose scree slopes until we are within striking distance of the summit.

The penultimate day is summit day and easily the highlight of the entire trip. After getting a pre-dawn start, we will hike up to the top of Africa just in time to see the sun rise,  providing some absolutely brilliant panoramic views of Tanzania and Kenya.

After taking in our fill of the top, we will start to hike back down, descending all the way to the edge of the rainforest, before hiking out of the park and returning to the airport the following day.

So what are you waiting for? Book now for this once-in-a-lifetime 8-day trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route!

What people are saying about Claudious

Tremendous team-effort , highly professional attitude & coordination , mind-blowing guides & their game-drives , neat arrangements even in very adverse situations , superb hospitality from each & every employee..... Claudious Tours & Safaris made us feel at home from the very moment we stepped in Africa. Thank you for everything you did to us. Our trip wouldn't be so pleasant & successful without you guys.

In June, 2009 I climbed Mount Kenya, with Trekking Mount Kenya. I spent 4 days on the mountain and experienced the wonderful challenge and the friendly helpfulness and knowledge of my guides and porters. Everything was provided for my comfort and enjoyment so that it was a thoroughly fabulous and memorable trek! I recommend this company whole-heartedly.

Very organized, very friendly and professional staff. The tour was great, everything was as planned.

Randy

The Climbing Guides and service in both Kenya and Tanzania were super (5+ stars) Kenya Shem, Joxhu, Joseph & Agustin super and thanks. For Kilimanjaro, Deus and Goodlucky were fantastic. However Claudios needs to update the schedule (Lake Nakuru day 7 was canceled) and make available lunches (they were missing on 3 days to and from Nairobi) and make clear when travel will be alone. Finally the Nairobi service agent pushes additional add on Nairobi packages. These are of poor value and should be avoided. These additional package coverage was misleading and I should have avoided completely. This was a Nairobi issue only. Everyone else was above board and super to work with. in summary, the climbs are great and highly recommended. Note the published schedule is not exact and deal with the Nairobi service agent with caution. (Don't take the additional offerings.) Overall it was a very good experience where I met with many great people. Thanks to all.

Matthew
