If you are looking for a stunning hiking and canyoneering trip, this program is for you. Join a member of Utah Mountain Guides for an amazing 7-day adventure in the Utah desert!

The Utah desert is one of the most remote areas in the continental United States. offering varied terrain for exciting hiking and technical canyoneering. In this 7-day trip you will learn the basic canyoneering skills and explore some of the most fabulous desert topography in the world.

We will go to the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Grand Staircase – Escalante National Monument. A colorful landscape of red cliffs and plateaus is waiting for us. We will navigate desert canyons and hike through wonderful ferns, mosses and grasses.

This 7-day trip focus on safely exploring the desert canyon country. Our exact itinerary may vary due to weather conditions and your expectations. You only need to have some basic camping experience. We’ll teach you the basic canyoneering skills to be able to tackle more technical objectives.
