7-day Ansilta “Peak 4” (5,130m) summit in San Juan, from Barreal

Located in the Argentinean province of San Juan, Asilta Pico #4 (5,130) is a tremendous peak, near Barreal. And, for 7 days I would like to guide you to the summit of this great peak.

The area around Asilta is wonderful. The scenery, the climate, the people are lovely, and I have no doubt you’ll feel very comfortable as soon as you arrive at Barreal. Thus providing you with a joyous feeling that you can carry with you right to the summit of the mountain.

From Barreal, we will take a transfer by van to Los Morillos. From there, our journey will begin.

Throughout the ascent of Asilta Pico #4, we will be spending our nights in several different camps, each one getting progressively higher up the mountain. This will ensure you are properly acclimatized.

Each camp, along with providing you with a place to relax and rest after a day of trekking and climbing, will also give you unique sets of viewpoints that you can enjoy to your heart’s content. Finally, from the summit of the mountain, you will get to gaze far into the stunning landscape. So, don’t forget to bring your camera! After you’ve enjoyed the summit, we will make our way back down the mountain before returning to Los Morillos and then transferring back to Barreal.

It is important that participants on this trip are in good physical condition.
