Highlights

  • Enjoy a 13-day climbing trip in the Andes of Chile to no less than 6 summits.
  • Scale some truly incredible volcanoes, including Vicunas and San Francisco.
  • Relax in the base camp at beautiful Laguna Verde.

Description

The only thing better than climbing one amazing volcano in the Andes is climbing many. And, on this 13-day expedition, you will get to climb no less than 6 incredible volcanoes in Chile.

The six volcanoes you will be scaling during this unforgettable adventure include the following.

  • San Francisco (6.020m)
  • Fraile (6,080m)
  • Barrancas Blancas (6,118m)
  • Vicunas (6,060m)
  • Ermitano (6,060m)
  • Penas Blancas (6,056m)

Each one of these volcanoes represents a spectacular climbing experience. Each volcano will provide you with its own set of majestic views. And, since these peaks are not as popular as other, larger, nearby peaks, like the Ojos del Salado (6,893m), you won’t have to worry about crowds. Instead, you will get to enjoy not just the sheer enormity of these volcanoes, but the tranquility and peace they offer.

Our base camp throughout this trip is located at the beautiful Laguna Verde (4,300m). Every volcano is near the area, and each climb will take approximately 4 to 7 hours. And, at the end of each climbing day, we will return to the camp. There will also be some rest days at the camp as well. Hence, giving you plenty of time to regain your strength and relax in the soothing hot springs, while also properly acclimatizing.

An additional highlight during this trip is a day-long visit to the stunning Laguna Santa Rosa (3,700m).

Since the climbs of each volcano will only cover approximately 1,000 meters of elevation, you don’t have to be an expert mountaineer to enjoy this trip. However, you should be in good physical condition.

If you want to climb a number of amazing peaks in the Andes of Chile, this is the trip for you. To enjoy this amazing adventure, just send me a request.

For more than 20 years I have worked as a guide in Chile. Join me and I´ll be able to show you the wonderful spots that the Andes offer to those who share my passion for big mountains.

I live in Santiago de Chile, the Chilean capital, where there are many options for high altitude ascents, even over 6,000 meters, in close proximity to the city. I also regularly organize trips to the Chilean Altiplano, where there are many mountains over 6000 meters. However, the main attraction of these trips is to witness the intensity and loneliness of the Atacama Desert.

I would love to have the opportunity to share these magical moments with you and help you achieve your goals and dreams.
