6-day snowshoe hike in Matrei in Oristtol

For this 6-day trip, you should need a good physical shape and some prior experience in snowshoeing. The first day, we will meet to introduce each other and check your equipment. From the second to the sixth day, we will be jumping from the scenic rural area of Matrei to the emerald unspoiled curves of the Virgen valley hills. Our accommodation will be in cozy huts at high altitude in the Alps.

Among the compelling views and places to explore, the Gschlöss valley stands out behind the imposing Venedigier glacier, considered the favorite among snowshoeing hikers because of its scenery and crystal-clear water. We will also have time to admire the solitude and grandeur of the Grossvenediger peak (11,998 ft/3656 m)– the highest point of the region.
