Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

After landing in Mendoza, we will meet at the airport and transfer to our spectacular accommodation in the mountains.

Once at the lodge, we’ll check all the equipment and make sure we are ready to start this adventure.

Later, we will conduct an avalanche beacon search and safety clinic and we will have the required helicopter briefing.

Finally, we will have a welcome Dinner at the Lodge.

Day 2: First day

Immediately after breakfast we’ll walk to the heliport located only yards from your room.

Soon we will carve our first turns in the pristine Andes in the UCO Valley, an unforgettable alpine setting of Himalayan proportions.

Each group will have a minimum of 1 heli-ski guide, a 4:1 & 5:1 ratio depending on the number of guests and helicopters we use.

Today we’ll take it slowly. It will be your first day exposed to the thin air at nearly 15,000 feet elevation in the magnificent surroundings of the dramatic and rugged Central Andes Mountains.

Back to the base for the night to a well deserved gourmet dinner at the Lodge.

Day 3: Continue with our heli-ski routine

After breakfast we gain altitude as we become more comfortable and familiar with the terrain, as well as better acclimatized to the altitude.

There is always the possibility of discovering a new landing zone, or virgin terrain that has never been explored before. It is highly likely that you will have the chance to pioneer a few runs with us, since the terrain is vast and much remains unexplored.

Return to Base and dinner at the Lodge.

Day 4: Another exciting day with more runs, powder, and fun!

We continue discovering the Andes and tracking fresh snow.

Picnic at mid-day, then continue heli-skiing and/or heli-boarding. By this time the group will be well acclimatized and feeling stronger. We may go a bit higher or perhaps move to a different valley, depending on conditions, group strength, and abilities.

Return to Base for dinner.

Day 5: Continue with our heli-ski routine

After breakfast we will  repeat our heli-ski routine. Those who are ready for a break can soak at the nearby hot springs, go horseback riding, choose a day of resort skiing, or simply relax at the Lodge.

Day 6: Continue exploring the majestic Andes Mountains.

After breakfast we will continue with our exciting program; more heli time, more turns and vertical feet in the majestic Andes Mountains.

Return to Base for dinner.

Day 7: Last day of our heli skiing journey.

After breakfast we start our 6th and final day of our heli-ski / heliboard journey into the Andes. After skiing, we pack and transfer you to your 5-star hotel in Mendoza, The Mendoza Park Hyatt, for an enjoyable Friday evening in this friendly and fun city.

Day 8: Last day

Breakfast and relaxing morning at your hotel. You may choose to continue traveling in Argentina and South America, or return home.

Wonderful memories!!!

Great guides, great equipment, amazed about how good food was. All round a very experienced and top end operator who know what they are doing and will maximise your chances of getting to the summit. Reaching top Aconcagua was one of greatest highlights of my life thank you Aventuras Patagonicas.

From the start Aventuras Patagonicas was welcoming, which set the trip up on the right foot. The guides, Wes, Lucia and Sebastian were all excellent and worked very hard to get the group of climbers safely up and down the mountain. The food was excellent and well organized. The gear provided on the mountain (tents) were also of good quality. I would climb again with Patagonicas.

I did a 20 day climb of Aconcagua with this company. The guides were excellent and made the trip as enjoyable as possible. We had hot meals every evening and morning. Aconcagua is a hard mountain and it takes a great deal of effort to reach the top. The guides at Patagonicas are committed to each client's safety on the mountain. I would recommend them over any other company on the mountain.
