Description

Experience an invigorating 6 days of hut-to-hut ski touring in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Ski traverse in the heart of Colorado’s central Rocky Mountains, where the slopes are blanketed in snow and the atmosphere spectacular.

We’ll begin in the legendary alpine town of Aspen. Located in the remote Rocky area between the Sawatch Range and Elk Mountains.

Along approximately 100 miles of backcountry ski touring we’ll stop off at 5 mountain huts. We’ll begin at Margy’s Hut, resting on a lightly treed hillside, then Betty Bear Hut, in central Colorado. Uncle Bud’s Hut is next with panoramic views of the mountains, before reaching Jackal Hut on the western slope of the Continental Divide. We’ll finish in the Shrine Mountain Inn located in Vail.

In the 6 days of skiing we’ll drop ascents that will total almost 17,000 vertical feet. And with frosty temperatures, predawn beginnings, and long days out, you’ll enjoy warm and comfortable accommodation in our selected mountain huts.

Dealing with unpredictable snow conditions, long and difficult days on the slopes, and cold conditions, potential participants are required to have a high level of fitness and skill.

    Phillip

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

    Amanda

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
