There are many Haute Routes in the Alps. But the High Tyrol is definitely one of the best ones! The unique location of this amazing place, ensures it receives lots of snow every year. Moreover its stunning glaciers and majestic summits, turn it into a real winter paradise.
We will begin our adventure at Kasern, at the heart of the Arno Valley. Then, we’ll venture into a fascinating road. This old path was used by smugglers across the Umbaltörl. Also, it leads into East Tyrol. And finally it crosses the Reggentörl all the way to the Essener Hut.
After that, we will keep our splitboarding journey across the Great Geiger (3,360m). Then we’ll head to the Johannis hut. And we’ll ascend the Grossvenediger (3,674m), to later descend to the Matreier Tauernhaus.
We’ll also arrive to the Rudolfs mountain hut, through the Amertaler Höhe. Thereupon I will take you to the summit of the Stubacher Sonnblick (3,088m). After which we’ll splitboard across the Kalser Tauern. And, we will get to ascend the highest mountain in Austria, the Grossglockner (3,798 m), for which you’ll need good climbing skills, specially for the upper part of the ascent.
Later on our journey, we will descend from the Adlersruhe, splitboarding through the Ködnitzkees, until we reach the Stüdl hut. Finally, we’ll finish our adventure in Lucknerhaus.
If you wish to join this trip, you need prior splitboarding experience, and an excellent physical condition. Do you have them and want to take part of it? Send me a message! It will be my pleasure to be your guide!
But if you are looking for a summer adventure, I also guide this Canyoning Three Days trip at Lake Garda in Italy.

Mountain Guide
I am a IFMGA certified mountain guide and I'm passionated about nature. I was born in 1977 and before entering in the mountain life, I worked as a teacher in Borg Lienz.
I started training as a canyoning guide 15 years ago. Since 2009, I have also trained with canyoning leaders in Carinthia. Additionally, I have been on the road as a mountain and ski instructor. During the summers, I have guided a lot in Switzerland, where I took my guests to many mountains over 4000 meters high. My “motto” in the mountains and in life has always been the same: “Never stop exploring”
I work now for Carnicoalpin where our main objective is leading and accompanying you on steep mountains and great ski slopes with a particular focus set on safety.
For more information, please feel free to contact me. We can discuss about your wishes and the different options I offer. I will be really happy to be your guide and share a great moment with you!

Had an absolutely amazing experience with Tobias, from the training day to summiting the Matterhorn. Couldn’t ask for a better guide 10/10
John
Tobias knows the Matterhorn and the surrounding area extremely well. He will go at a level that is comfortable for you and help you reach whatever mountaineering goal you have. Another reviewer said Tobias knows every step on the Matterhorn - and this is absolutely true. He's one of the BEST around.
Roberto
i guess it was a little our fault for not investigating the fact that due to weather its not always possible to climb the matterhorn, but we where notice 1 week before that the weather was not good, so it was very complicated to organize something interesting as second option.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
