The Eiger (3970 m) is one of the most iconic and well ranked mountains in the Alps. Hundreds of mountaineers around the world come to Grindelwald each year especially in search of its huge north face!
Today I’d like to invite you to a 6-day ascent to the Eiger’s summit via the eastern ridge, also called “Mittellegi”. It is a really extraordinary challenge since we will have to cope with mixed terrain (ice and rock) for much of the climb.
The idea of this program is to get prepared, so that we have greater chances of success. It’s essential that you feel physically and mentally ready for such a big goal. Climbers who want to participate in this program must prove the following skills:
Minimum level of rock climbing IV. This means that the person must be able to perform autonomously in a multi-pitch route at high altitude. Also, it may involve multi-hour approaches in serious alpine terrain;
Know how to secure a first rope;
Know how to rappell;
Good handling of crampons and ice ax;
Excellent physical condition.
Let’s climb the Eiger mountain together! Send your request and book your place for next departures! It’ll be my pleasure to be your guide during this 6-day adventure!
Briefing in Chamonix about the following days and equipment check.
Technical review of using crampons and ice ax and some techniques of rescue in cracks and rock climbing. Night at the hut (Argentière, Couvercle, Albert 1er, Torino)

Fede was amazing.

Fantastic climb! We were the only people climbing the normal route so we had the mountain to ourselves. Fede was great, highly professional, and he assessed the risks very well. Highly recommended!
