Description

This 6-day Ansilta peaks 4 and 5 ascent will take you to a hidden jewel in the Andes!

Ansilta mountain chain (5868 m) is located in San Juan Province, in the northwest of Argentina. It lies for 31 km from north to south and it has many peaks to climb. It's surrounded by a desertified terrain, which makes it stand out immediately when you see it.

I'll meet you in Barreal, a quiet town known for the kindness of the local people, the pure air one can breath and its beautiful scenery. All of this makes Barreal an Andean paradise!

So we'll meet at 10 am and drive to Los Morillos (2500 m) from where we'll start the hike to our first camp at 3100 m. The following three days we'll be progressively hiking up to summit Ansilta peaks  4 (5150 msnm) and Pico 5 (5530 msnm). And then we'll go down easily.

So I invite you to contact me if you wish to experience this 6-day Ansilta peaks 4 and 5 ascent. I promise you it will be an unforgettable adventure.

And if you want to check some other ascents in this area, please take a look of my Ascent to “Inca’s House”, Incahuasi Volcano or my Ascent San Francisco Volcano, Catamarca.

Mountain Leader

EPGAMT Mountain guide from Argentina.

The mountain is my workplace and space to enjoy what I like to do ... mountaineering.

I climbedd and promoted various mountains and volcanoes such as: Aconcagua , Ojos del Salado, Pissis , Walter Penck , Incahuasi, Plata, Rincon, Vallecitos , etc.

The mountain can find oneself, to rediscover the essence and every moment. It is a natural place that transmits balance, harmony, tranquility and at the same time, tests us and motivates us to self-improvement. The mountain is accessible to all, just enough to take the first step ... we offer a different experience to share.
