Norway is renowned for its fjords and spectacular alpine landscapes. The northern region is no different, except it also offers the opportunity to witness the miraculous northern lights, Aurora Borealis.
I am Finish originally but have been exploring and guiding in Nothern Norway for many years and I know this beautiful land intimately.
We will meet in Kilpisjärvi, a town situated at the ‘three countries’ border of Sweden, Finland and Norway.
Our skiing will begin from here and we will plan our route as the weather patterns materialise, giving us flexibility.
We will spend our evenings in areas with little light pollution so as to give ourselves the very best chance of observing the amazing natural phenomenon of the northern lights.
If we are unfortunate with weather conditions and our skiing options are limited, then there is always the possibility to do some ice-climbing. There are some wonderful options in the region.
On this trip we have the option to visit Øksfjord alps, Lyngen alps, the island of Senja, Narvik-area and Lofoten or riksgränsen.
You will be travelling in your own motorhome, this will provide comfortable sleeping conditions but crucially allows you to swiftly relocate yourself and wake up directly at the best snows.
Norway is world renowned for its amazing natural beauty and epic landscapes. Don’t miss this opportunity to discover some of its most beathtaking scenery and take in the northern lights in all their glory, sign up now!
If this trip excites you then consider this 1+ day of ski touring and nothern lights observation that is centred in the stunning Lyngen Alps! Or check out this amazing 2-days ice-climbing in Lynden Alps for something truly different and special!

Mountain Guide
I am an IFMGA mountain guide, originally from southern Finland. However, I have spent most of my time since 2010 in Northern Norway.
Completely in love with the scenery, nature, culture and the atmosphere, I'm spending as much time as possible exploring the mountains; be it on skis, climbing (summer/winter/alpine/ice&rock), mountain biking, kayaking or just hiking. Without being an expert in any particular one of these fields, my strength lies in finding the right adventure for the day, and spicing it up with local knowledge and the understanding of nature!
Needless to say, my main focus is to provide safe trips regardless of conditions and appropriate for participants' previous experience.
As it is in Scandinavian guiding tradition in general, I always try to teach my guests something!
I'm traveling quite a bit, a lot in Northern Norway and a bit in the mountains further away. My home base is in Lyngen, especially in the winter, but my home mountains extend from here to all the way to the Stetind area south of Narvik, including Lofoten, Senja and Kvaløya.
I'm guiding fluently in five languages: English, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian and German, et mon France est un peu primitives.

Frederi was an amazing guy. My daughter and I were traveling to Norway on a father-daughter trip. At 49, ice waterfall climbing was a bucket list item that I had always wanted to do. It was an incredible experience. Frederic made us feel comfortable and safe. The weather conditions were perfect and we had a truly unforgettable experience. Would highly recommend.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
