The Margalef and Siurana crags are located in Catalonia, in the Sierra de Prades mountains. They are two popular rock climbing destinations situated between tiny towns and beautiful landscapes. On this 5-day rock climbing tour in Margalef and Siurana I will show you some of the best climbing spots that the region has to offer!
The area provides a wide range of climbing opportunities in terms of difficulty. There are over thirty climbing sectors, and more that 1200 routes! You will also find a variety of different climbing terrains that include conglomerate walls and limestone slabs. Consequently, there are plenty of options for both more experienced climbers and first timers to really enjoy the rocks of Margalef and Siurana. Of course, I will be there every step of the way to guide you and show you the ropes.
The best way to get to Siurana is to take a plane to Barcelona or Reus. In Barcelona you can rent a car and be in Siurana in two hours. Otherwise, from Reus it’s just a half hour drive. Also, from Reus you can take a bus to Cornudella which is next to Siurana. To get to Margalef, you need to travel to Barcelona or Girona and then rent a car to drive there. Renting a car is probably the best option in both cases as it will make it easier to get to the crags themselves. Keep in mind accommodation is not included, however, I am more than happy to help you find a place to stay.
