Tatras

5 Days

Jan - Apr

Description

Although a lot smaller than the Alps, the High Tatras offer a wide variety of very interesting ski trips. From demanding ascents to challenging descents, these mountains offer everything you're looking for. Moreover, they have their own Haute Route!

This 5-day program will take you across this beautiful mountain range between Poland and Slovakia. With several peaks over 2,500 meters, the High Tatras Haute Route is quite demanding. It is also a very good training to prepare for the famous Haute Route in the Alps.

This crossing can be attempted from east to west or vice versa. The crossing towards the east is only suitable for excellent skiers because it involves really challenging descents. Some experience walking on crampons and basic knowledge of avalanche risk assessment is also necessary.

The best period for this crossing is from January to April. Come during these months to enjoy great conditions!

If you are looking for a less demanding ski tour, check out my 3-day hut to hut itinerary in the High Tatras. It's another great way to discover these beautiful mountains!

So join me on this High Tatras Haute Route. Enjoy an incredible 5-day adventure you will never forget. Contact me now to start planning your trip!

Mountain Guide

I am mountain guide, mountaineer, skier and professional "provocateur". My motto? "Life is too short to take it seriously all the time". Based in Brno, I spend summers rock climbing in the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia and Chamonix and the winters skiing all over Europe. In the autumn, I sometimes enjoy a short trip to Nepal for a few weeks, where I turn off my phone and just spend time with friends! I specialize in rock climbing courses, ice climbing and ski touring.
