Description

Explore the incredible Smoky Mountains on this hike down a unique loop trail that begins with a motorboat shuttle across Fontana Lake, North Carolina. Come for 5 unforgettable days in this amazing location.

On this wonderful adventure, we’ll visit some of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park lakes. We’ll begin with a motorboat ride across Fontana Lake, an impressive lake surrounded by lush forests and flowing mountain creeks. Then, we will begin an unforgettable hike along the lake’s shore, ascending into higher mountains with stunning views of Hazel Creek and the whole park. Hazel Creek is one of the most beautiful streams in the Smoky Mountains with a wide variety of fish. Additionally, we might even get to see wildlife along the way and explore a 19th century cemetery.

This trip implies several elevation gains and losses. Therefore, we recommend this trip to physically active people, comfortable doing sports for several hours without a break. The whole loop covers 56 km (35 miles).
