Description

Whether you are looking for a wild adventure or just leisure time with friends or family, this canoeing trip along Maine’s North Woods’ Allagash River is for you!

The Allagash River is a 105 km-long wild river in the U.S. state of Maine’s northern area, known as the North Maine Woods. This almost untouched river flows northeast, across a chain of natural mountain lakes and forests, making it a great destination for canoeing.

This 5-day trip is the perfect opportunity to learn or improve your canoeing skills, explore and photograph the beautiful local wildlife, practice some fishing, and have fun with family and friends.

This tour usually takes a minimum of 3 people. While it is open to everyone (no specific physical condition or previous experience is required), the guide can tailor the exact itinerary to fit guests’ specific interests or skill level.

Along the way, the guide will teach some basic paddling skills, explain how to read the river, and provide the group with key safety guidelines. If participants are interested, they can also receive some complimentary fishing instruction. Every canoeing day will end at a different campsite, where guests will taste some delicious meals prepared outdoors and enjoy some storytelling around a huge campfire!

Don’t miss this exciting canoeing experience in Maine’s wild waterways! Send us your booking request now.

If you are looking for other activities in the area, I recommend the alpine rock climbing day in Chimney.

Will was great wise and fun to spend the day with.

Phillip

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Lucie

All perfect

Amanda

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
