During the winter, Austria turns into a white paradise. I invite you on a 4-day splitboarding tour at the Grossglockner, the highest peak in the country.
Rising 3,798 meters above the Adriatic Sea, the Grossglockner, also known as the “black mountain”, is part of the High Tauern range, the main chain of the Central Alps. This imposing peak offers amazing terrain for outdoor winter adventures.
This unforgettable 4-day trip combines mountaineering and splitboarding. Each day we will climb to a different spot and enjoy stunning splitboarding descents on top quality powder snow! We will be surrounded by the gorgeous snow covered peaks of High Tauern National Park! Furthermore, here, in the biggest nature reserve in the Alps, we will also find wonderful spots such as the Pasterze Glacier which is the longest in Austria and in the Eastern Alps (8,4km).
For this trip it is really important to be able to splitboard in all types of snow and to know some mountaineering skills such as crampons and ice-axe techniques. You also need to be physically fit as we will climb several hours per day!
So, if you are ready for this incredible splitboarding adventure in the Austrian Alps, please contact me. Come and discover the powder snow of Grossglockner mountain!
