Description

This 4-day Río Olivares' waterfall trek trekking will take you to a solitary paradise lying on the foot of the Andes.

The Río Olivares waterfall is one of the biggest in Chile, that sets the start of the Olivares River. It's located an hour east of Santiago de Chile, in the Metropolitan Region, but it's hard to believe that such a magnificent places is located so close to Chile's capital city.

This river is formed from the melting of two glaciers, Juncal Sur amd Olivares Gama, set on the Cerro Altar, which make the whole place an amazing scenery. The cascade is formed in the intimidating Loma Rabona wall and then the river continues its torrential course.

I will guide you through a 4 days hike around this beautiful place and we'll camp in the middle of nowhere, where we'll feel nature's best energy.

If this 4-day Río Olivares' waterfall trek sounds like a good idea, send me a request now to reserve your dates. I'll be glad to be your guide around this beautiful region of the Andes.

Mountain Guide

UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain Guide from Chile

Mountain guide and instructor from the Chilean Andinism Federation (FEACH) and certified Wilderness First Responder.

I’ve opened several climbing routes in Chile, and was one of the first and very few Chileans to summit Cerro Torre, Fitz Roy, Paine Grande and Torres del Paine.

I climbed almost all the technical mountain in Cajón del Maipo, in Central Chile, and did some of the most important routes in Yosemite, Indian Creek and Patagonia.

And regarding ski mountaineering, I skied down Mount Illimani and Huayna Potosí in Bolivia, and Cerro Castillo, Morado Norte and Sur in Chile.

Nicolas is an excellent guide, with incredible mountaineering knowledge and technique (which was particularly worthwhile during our expedition when we encountered harsh winter conditions). His english is also very good. In short, I recommend this mountain guide.

My trip with Nicolas was perfect. He catered to my climbing preference and the hot springs at the end of day was exactly what we needed. I would definitely do it again! Thanks Nico for my first experience in climbing in Chile!

The guide did not know the route. We spent a lot of time trying to find the route. The climbing itself was good.
