Description

Join me for this epic four-day trek through the illustrious beauty of Els Ports Natural Park in northeastern Spain!

For the better half of a week, we will hike from mountain hut to mountain hut enjoying the unique karst landscape that surrounds us. As we traverse this idyllic location, we will learn a bit about its ecology and culture too.

If we are lucky we will see some of the unique wildlife that calls this region home, including griffon vultures, Spanish ibex, wild boar and European badgers, among others.

We will also learn a bit about the Spanish Maquis, who were guerrilla fighters exiled to France after the Spanish Civil War. Their last fortifications from the 1940s and 50s are located here.

Each day, we will descend and ascend  through the rugged terrain, taking in impressive vistas of the limestone massifs, jagged peaks, valleys and caves.  Some days will involve more climbing that others, but every day will end at a secluded mountain hut surrounded by idyllic scenery

So what are you waiting for? Book now for your trekking adventure through the truly sublime scenery of Els Ports Natural Park!
