Description

Would you like to join an excursion in the Julian Alps? Then don’t hesitate and join me on this 4-day program to the incredible Jôf Fuart-Montasio range!

The Jôf Fuart-Montasio range belongs to the Julian Alps. It is situated in the Udine province of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, in Italy. Its main peaks area Jôf Fuart, at 2,666 meters above sea level, and Jôf di Montasio,  at 2,754 meters. On this program we will have the chance to visit both!

This is a 4-day program. On day 1, we’ll start in Val Saisera and go through Via Amalia to Jôf di Montasio summit. Then, we’ll spend the night at the Rifugio Di Brazzà (1,660 meters). On day 2, we’ll go through the Ceria Merlone trail to the Rifugio Corsi (1,874 meters). Day 3 will be the day in which we’ll reach Jôf Fuart through Anita Goitan via ferrata. Then, we’ll descend to Rifugio Pellarini (1,502 meters). Finally, on day 4, we’ll ascend Mount Nabois (2,313 meters) and descend to Val Saisera through the Chersi trail.

Because this is a demanding program, keep in mind that you will need prior mountaineering experience. Additionally, a good fitness level is mandatory for this program. Of course, I will be there to help and guide you on the way!

So if you find this trip interesting, all you have to do is send the request to book your place and I’ll make sure to take care of all the details! Come join me on this 4-day adventure to the Jôf Fuart-Montasio in the Julian Alps!

I also lead programs to the Grossglockner and Dolomites Mountains. Check them out!

Mountain Guide

Born in a small mountain village, in the Valis del Natisone area, I grew up surrounded by mountains, which I learned from my childhood. Great spaces, sense of freedom and love for nature were the first great feelings I learned to make mine.

From the top of the mountains that shelter my country I saw others, much more impressive, and from here came the desire to discover new horizons, new landscapes and even larger spaces. And here I quickly travel all the Julian Alps, in the summer (for the normal routes first and then for railways and climbing routes) and in winter with the skis, discovering a passion that gradually becomes bigger and that brings me, in a few years, to discover the beauty of all the Alps.

In the footsteps of the great alpinists I have retraced a large part of the itineraries that have made the history of this that, in my opinion, is not just a sport activity but a lifestyle, which puts us in the conditions to live the mountain in all its aspects and to live the time as it is marked by the passing of the seasons.

The desire to transmit these emotions to other people and allow them to live in complete safety and freedom, has led me to face the strict path necessary to become Mountain Guide, a passion became a profession for the love of the mountain, its people and the his silences.

What people are saying about Explore-Share

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
