Saorge is a medieval village in the heart of the Royal Valley. It offers stunning views and many things to discover. And it is rich in history, culture and biodiversity. The town of Saorge is considered one of the most wonderful hilltop villages in the Royal Valley. It has amphitheatrical houses and constructions that resemble those along the Tibet.

During our hike, we will wander through its mysterious streets. We’ll visit old churches, convents and towers, Also, we’ll hike around to discover wild places such as the valley of Bendola. And, I’ll guide you to the famous gorges of Saorge. Additionally, we’ll visit the old farming districts of Caine and Bausson.

This area has a very unique biodiversity. Some of the species here are the chamois, ibex, mouflons, deer, roe deer and wild boar. But others, like the wolf, have returned to this place. And above the clouds, golden eagles, bearded and tawny vultures reign the sky. So, keep your eyes open in case we run into any of these creatures.

You can visit this region any time of the year. Winter turns it into a gorgeous frozen wonder. But, spring brings something special, with orchids brimming all around. And during autumn, the most hypnotizing colors cover everything around. The strokes of warm shades of red, orange, yellow, green and brown are so vivid, they seem to have come out of a painter’s pallet.
