Are you ready for a brilliant 3-day ski touring experience in the Julian Alps? This program is a superb endurance test in the Slovenian winter, starting at the Vogel ski resort. Bring your skis and backpack along, and let’s get started!
This Triglav ski tour, or ‘Magistrala’ – which means “highway” – is the only multi-day ski tour in Slovenia. I will guide you across the Julian Alps, from Vogel to Komna, in northwestern Slovenia. Some of the highlights of our tour over these 3 days will be:
the Seven Lakes Valley
the Hribarice and Velo Polje
Kredarica
the former Triglav glacier
the Krma Valley
The program will begin with a cable car ascent to the Vogel ski resort, and a traverse to Dom na Komni later. Have a look at a more detailed itinerary below.
This program is available from February to May. Each day requires between 5 and 9 hours of ski touring activity.
For this activity, I will take groups of between 3 to 6 people. As for your ski touring equipment, you will need mainly ski touring boots, ski skins, poles, avalanche probe showel and beacon, warm winter clothes, and a backpack.
Note: if you need to rent ski tour skis, you can receive a 15% discount if you go on a ski tour trip with me.

Mountain Guide
I am an IFMGA mountain guide born in 1980 in Mojstrana, a Slovenian village close to Mount Triglav, the highest mountain in the country at 2864 m.
From an early age, my parents took me to the mountains during summer and winter. At that time, my father was part of a mountain rescue team in my hometown and was also going on expeditions to the Himalaya and the Andes, so he became a big inspiration for me. We went climbing, hiking, sport climbing and ski touring together. His enthusiasm truly influenced me.
I went to Alpine school, then Mountain rescue team, I did the Alpinist exam and I became an Alpinist instructor. After that, I also studied to be a professor of Sport. Several years later, I decided to begin my mountain guide education and to become an IFMGA/UIAGM certified mountain guide.

Our guide Stres Blaz was fantastic. He was very knowledgable about the mountain and was a strong guide that meant we could keep a good pace even with congestion on the mountain. I also had a small injury and he was very quick to support. Thank you for everything!
