Are you ready to take your backcountry skiing to the next level? Then come join our 3-day ski mountaineering course in the stunning scenery around Jackson, Wyoming!

Over the three days, we will cover various topics, including technical ski mountaineering skills,  risk management and decision making. We will then head out onto Teton Pass and into Teton National Park in order to try out what we have just learned.

On the first day, we will spend much of the morning in the classroom at our Jackson, WY headquarters, before heading out for the afternoon onto Teton Pass.

Once we’ve arrived at this high mountain pass on the southern edge of the Teton Range, we will go over avalanche search and rescue as well as practice some of our new-learned techniques.

This is sure to whet your appetite for the second and third days in which we will head out into the sublimely beautiful Grand Teton National Park.

Here, we will put some of our skills to the test, ascending a couple of the park’s numerous 6,000-foot ski mountaineering peaks then enjoying some deep snow skiing back down.

In order to get the most out of this program, you should be an experienced backcountry and off-piste skier in excellent physical condition. There is no need for prior mountaineering experience as we will go over all of the necessary techniques and equipment during the camp.

I had a great day and a great experience

Keala

Joel was a great climbing guide! I was nervous climbing outside since it’s been awhile but the guide was extremely good with hearing my concerns and adapted to help me feel comfortable. We started climbing on a low grade and then worked our way to harder levels. I also didn’t feel comfortable leading outside so my guide (Joel) did that as well. Also, there is so much to climb at red rock that without a guide it would be really hard to figure out the routes. I had such a great time!! It’s so beautiful out there and the whole experience was a lot of fun. I definitely recommend this company and Joel as a guide!
