3-day rock climbing course around Orpierre or Gorges de l’Ardeche

Let me guide you on this 3-day rock climbing hike in southeastern France, the Mecca of modern climbing. I will take you around Orpierre or Gorges de l’Ardeche.

I offer this trip in long weekends –3 days, 3 nights–, from Thursday evening to Sunday evening. Together we will choose the most suitable spot for your climbing level, from beginners to advanced climbers. This trip is for private groups and it will be tailored to your wishes.

Some of my favourite sites are:

• Orpierre, a tiny beautiful village (only 300 people) with multiple venues for climbing nearby;

• The Dentelles de Montmirail, a  craggy massif above endless rows of grapevines (named “dentelles” because of the saw-toothed limestone crests).

• The Ardèche Gorges, with their famous natural arch.

I can also take you to Cassis Creeks, Sainte Victoire, Buoux or the Gorges du Verdon, all mythical sites that attract climbers from around the world for the beauty of the setting, the rock quality and the richness of the environment, as well as the charm of the Mediterranean regions.

From Friday to Sunday mid-afternoon, we will do lots of rope climbing and/or long routes, depending on the level of the participants.

For lunch we will have a picnic, and we will enjoy dinner in small friendly restaurants.

Depending on the intended spot for rock climbing, we will define a meeting point between Lyon, Avignon, Montélimar or Marseille. A private transfer will take you to our base and return you on Sunday.

We will select among our preferred addresses accommodation by email.
