3-day Multi-pitch rock climbing course in Suesca, near Bogotá

If you’ve always wanted to learn and improve your rock climbing skills, then join me as I guide you on this 3-day multi-pitch rock climbing course in Suesca, near Bogota, a stunning and awe-inspiring locale in the Colombia countryside that provides the ideal setting for us to learn, improve and challenge ourselves by covering all the basic skills and techniques needed to rock climb, from the easy to more advanced methods.

Suesca is a town and region in Colombia located 59km North of the capital city of Bogota, and is renowned for its raw natural scenery that attracts legions of outdoor activity enthusiasts, particularly rock climbers, every year.

Our trip lasts for a total of 3 days, over which we will cover everything needed for you to then go on and test yourselves on more difficult multi-pitch climbing routes.

We meet in Suesca, and on the 1st day, before we even dive in to the teaching, we will assess your current level of rock climbing ability, so as to make sure we can tailor the program to your needs.

We then go over and teach the absolute basics of rock climbing, including safety equipment and information, an introduction to the different types of knots and hitches, and an overview of belay and rappel techniques for multi-pitch climbing.

Day 2 covers passive and active traditional protection, anchor construction and transitions on the anchor, and the 3rd and final day is spent learning about basic self-rescue techniques.

Each day we will be putting our learning’s in to practice, and there is no better spot in the country to do this, as Suesca is known as the best rock climbing place in the country, especially for multi-pitch climbing, and there will be ample time to admire and take in the vast, amazing and lush scenery around us.
