Description

Come with me on this awesome 3-day mountain biking tour in the Julian Alps. On this trip, we’ll explore all the best parts of this area which are packed with awesome bike trails and breathtakingly beautiful nature. A real Slovenian treasure.

What to expect on this trip

On our first day, we’ll start out at Kranjska Gora and bike through alpine valleys that have been shaped by the ancient Triglav Glacier. We’ll follow an old narrow rail train route which has been converted into a bike trail to Mojstrana. Then, we’ll cross the beautiful Radovna River valley to Lake Bled, which we’ll use as our base throughout the trip. Before the day is out and we settle into our accommodation, we’ll visit the spectacular Vintgar Gorge.

We’ll spend day two biking around the surrounds of Lake Bled, including the Sava River under the huge Jelovica Plateau and the old town of Radovljica.

On our last day, we’ll discover Pokljuka Plateau. This is the largest and greenest mountain plateau in Slovenia. We’ll bike along the most beautiful mountain pastures and take in the spectacular views. To round up the day, we’ll take a fun descent to Lake Bohinj and enjoy some pretty awesome views of some of the best sights in Slovenia.

This is an intermediate level trip and you will need an MTB bike, helmet, bottle of water, sporty clothes, sports shoes and a backpack.

Don’t miss your chance to take in the beauty of the Julian Alps and Slovenia the best way- by bike! Request to book now.

Mountain Bike Guide

I'm a certified mountain bike guide from Radovljica, Slovenia (located just 5 km away from Bled) and I am part of a community of MTB guides that organize high-end MTB tours in Slovenia, more precisely in the heart of the beautiful Julian Alps and Karawanken mountains.

Apart from awesome MTB trails, we focus on providing unique experiences (organic local food, premium lodging, etc). We can easily say that we are not in the MTB guiding business, but in the "creating great memories“ business.

What we can offer you is the best possible experience of exploring Slovenia with you mountain bike. So contact me if you want to enjoy your ride without a care in the world, while being guided by a professional.

Jane

Unfortunately, as it turns out Gasper was injured at the time & was unable to guide us, however we were lucky enough to have Tomaz, who was fabulous. Tomaz was exceptional, his local knowledge of geography, cycling, food & information was excellent. Gasper was also very receptive with his communications & correspondence from the very beginning. Tomaz was wonderfully warm, supportive, and humorous, and he was able to create a bespoke riding experience to suit all four riders (with mixed abilities!) and by the end of our three day riding adventure we had seen so many amazing parts of Slovenia including villages, lakes, mountains, waterfalls, and so much more. Cannot recommend Explore Share highly enough.
