This 3-day guided splitboarding ascent to Mt. Shasta is a great option to discover one of the most amazing mountain in California.
Mount Shasta (4321 m) is a volcano -potentially active- located at the southern point of the Cascade mountain range, in California. It’s set inside the Shasta-Trinity National Forest and it dominates the surrounding landscape.
This 3-day expedition is designed for us to climb all the way to the top, using our splitboards plus some climbing equipment and enjoy the great pleasure of riding down its pristine slopes!
We’ll start from the small Mount Shasta town, located to the southwest of the volcano. On the first 2 days we’ll climb slowly leaving plenty of time to enjoy some rides. But we’ll also practice a bit how to walk with crampons and use an ice axe. Then, on the third day we’ll conquer the summit and ride down a long and exciting slope!
During the nights we’ll camp under the stars, which will give you the chance to enjoy the peaceful environment around these mountains.
So if you are interested in ascending the marvellous Mount Shasta and have a great time riding it down, please send us a request and let’s organize the trip of your dreams together!
Take notice that this adventure also welcomes skiers!
This trip will be operated by one of the 3 permit holder outfitters: Shasta Mountain Guides, Alpine Skills International and SWS Mountain Guides.
And if you’re looking for other splitboarding trips in California, please check our Sierra Nevada High Route guided splitboarding week and our 2 or 3 day splitboarding tour in Rock Creek Hut.
