Description

Your epic adventure of a lifetime begins once you touchdown at the Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport.

One of our representatives will meet you there and shuttle you to your hotel. You will then have the rest of the day to explore this ancient city. The next day we will do a sightseeing tour, including visits to all three of the city’s UNESCO World Heritage sights: the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, Swayambhu Nath (the famous Monkey Temple) and the Buddhist shrine of Bouddha Nath.

We will spend one more day in the Nepalese capital preparing for our trip before beginning our four-day drive from Kathmandu to Tingri the following day. Along the way we will pass through the beautiful Himalayan foothills and Nepalese countryside before crossing the border with Tibet. On the fourth day of driving we will have absolutely stunning views of Mount Everest as we cross Lalung Leh Pass.

We will spend one day acclimatizing in Tingro before making our way to base camp. We will then spend the following four days making our way to the advanced base camp taking time to acclimatize along the way. As we acclimatize you will have a chance to explore the gorgeous Tibetan plateau and get the experience of loading and unloading our gear from native yaks.

The next 11 days will be dedicated to summiting this 7,000er. The adventure will be quite inspiring as we trek along the same path that George Mallory did on his infamous 1924 trek up Everest. We will make various stops along the way to continue acclimatizing as we gain more and more altitude.

Finally, we will climb to the level of the East Rombuk Glacier to the Rophu La, where we will have fantastic views of many of the surrounding mountains. Then we will reach the summit with even more spectacular views and the feeling of being on top of the world.

Afterward, we will spend two days making our way back down through our base camps back to before driving back to Nyalam and then on to Kathmandu the next day. There you will have two more free days to enjoy the city and reflect on the journey before we take you back to the airport and we bid you farewell.

Book now for this once-in-a-lifetime adventure that is sure to leave you with a glowing sense of accomplishment and many treasured memories!

Our guide Dr Flemming was excellent. He went above and beyond what we expected. We felt very safe and well trained to practice our climbing. Location was perfect and even though rain had been forecasted, they worked with us to make sure we could climb safely.

I had an enlightening day with Roger, the experience has increased my desire to learn more about rock climbing and commit time to mountaineering and absolute pleasure worth every minute of my time and money.
