Upper Dolpo is a region inside the Dolpa District of Nepal, the largest district in the country. Today we want to invite you to this his 26-day trekking tour in area where culture takes the lead.
One of the main attractions of this trip is the Phoksundo Lake (3,611 meters), the deepest lake in Nepal. It is located in the Shey Phoksundo National Park, the biggest national park and one of the most astonishing mountain areas in the world.
The meeting point of this trip will be the capital city Kathmandu. You will have a few days off there to visit and enjoy some of its cultural highlights. Among the options will be the Durbar Square and the temples Pashupati Nath, Swayambhu Nath, and Buddha Nath.
The accommodation will be in a B&B Hotel when we stay in Kathmandu and in our base camp the rest of the trip. If you want to take this trip, please you should have a good level of fitness and prior mountaineering experience.

We’ll meet at the Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to the Hotel. Rest of the day to enjoy the city. Night in the Hotel.

Flight to Nepalgunj, an important city in southwestern Nepal where you will see the Bagesshowri temple.
After breakfast, we’ll fly to Jhupal and you will be able to admire the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri peaks. Then we’ll follow the Bheri River on a 3-hour trek to Dunai, the administrative center of Dolpo. Night in the camp.
A 5-hour trek to the old town of Tarakot (2,450 meters). Night in our camp.
4 hours of trekking to Khani Gaon (2,950 meters). Night in the tents.
A pleasant 5-hour walk to Tarap Khola (3,450 meters). Night in the camp.
We’ll start walking along a beautiful landscape in a 5-hour hike to Yak Kharka (3,800 meters). Night in our camp.
We’ll hike up on a 5-hour trek to Dho Tarap (4,050 meters). Night in tents.
Acclimatization day in Dho Tarap.
We’ll continue going up on a 5-hour trek to Choi La. (4,650 meters). We’ll spend the night in the camp.
You’ll admire the amazing Himalayas on this 8-hour trek to Tinjegoan (4,150 meters). Night in tents.
A 6-hour trek to Shimengaon (3,900 meters). Night in the camp.
We’ll trek to Koma (4200m) for 5 hours. Night in the camp.
Trek to Yangier Gompa (3,850 meters) for about 6 to 7 hours. Night in the camp.
We’ll follow the Nagung Khola to Saldang (4,000 meters), a famous village in Dolpo. After a short ascent, we’ll reach Namjung (4,350 meters). Night in the camp.
A visit to Shey Gompa (4,300 meters) after a 6-hour trek. Night in tents.
Day off to rest in Shey Gompa.
For 5 to 6 hours we’ll hike up to Khang La High camp (4,800 meters). Night in our camp.
An intensive trek of 8 to 9 hours to Phoksundo Khola (5,350 meters). Night in the camp.
We’ll start the descent to Pokshumdo Lake at 3,730 meters (5 hours). Night in the camp.
We’ll trek to Chhekpa (2,880 meters) for 7 to 8 hours. Night in the camp.
A 6-hour trek to Juphal (2,475 meters). Night in our camp.
We’ll fly to Nepalgunj and then to Kathmandu. Night in the Hotel.
Day to rest and explore the city. Night in the Hotel.
We’ll transfer you to the airport and say goodbye.
