Description

Join me on this ski touring in the Altai Massif and discover a large range that crosses four different countries: Mongolia, Russia, China, and Kazakhstan.

On the first day of the trip, we’ll meet at the airport in Ulán Bator, the capital city of Mongolia.

During the tour, we’ll visit the Tavan Bogd National Park where we’ll enjoy hiking and skiing through the highest peak in Mongolia, the Khuiten Peak (4,734 meters) that belongs to the Tavan Bogd Massif. Also, you will have the opportunity to go into the Tsambagarav National Park and to ascend and descend the Tsast Uul (4,193 meters), the highest point in the Tsambagarav mountain.

For a more detailed itinerary, take a look at the bottom of the page.

Take into account that this trip is aimed at skiers with a high level of experience and a very good physical conditions. Each day we’ll be outside for 7 to 10 hours and we will experience an elevation gain of 1,000 to 1,500 meters. Finally, consider that we’ll spend most of the time sleeping in tents and that risks may be part of the trip. That’s why it is really important for the participants to be advanced travelers.

So are you interested in this 2-week ski touring in the Altai Massif? All you have to do is get in touch with me and we’ll start planning this fantastic adventure! I will be glad to safely guide you there.

Mountain Guide

Certified mountain guide UIAGM / IFMGA
I work with Manu, a good friend of mine...
We are both rock climbing instructors and certified mountain leaders. I shared with Manu happy and doubtful moments, building a professional future with a passionate focus on the mountain and the guide role. An open vision over the world, where our competences, knowledge and curiosity are at our client’s service for one day or for life.
The agency we founded together is the natural outcome of our profound complicity. People think we are cousins or brothers. We are just friends, and lucky to be so, because our children are in love: as in love as you can be at 8 years old!
We are both lucky to live in Corsica, this unknown mountain where climbers, mountaineers and skiers still feel like pioneers. This mountain is our playground and our office.
Curious and open to the world, we also organize each year trips to faraway places to see what other mountains and people can give to us, and what we can learn from them.
Ice in the Equator and Patagonia, Spanish, Jordanian or American rocks, snow in the Carpathians, Norway ot the Caucasus. We love the mountain in all its forms and every time we reach a summit we want to climb the neighbouring summit and find what is hiding behind it.

What people are saying about Cédric

Brett

Our guide, Manu, was fantastic, very experienced and knowledgeable, and a great, friendly guy. The climb was amazing, and Restonica Valley so awe inspiring.

Hemanth

Jeff was our rock climbing guide and he was awesome. He was easy to communicate with ahead of time, extremely knowledgeable about all the routes, kind and very safe on the rocks with us. He was flexible about which routes we did . We had a really wonderful day with him and felt very well taken care of. Highly recommend him.

Stacy

Cedric was a competent fun guide. We did several multi-pitch climbs. He accommodated our desire to lead both multi sport and trad. Using a guide and just bringing our personal climbing gear was the only way we could fit climbing in. I would use Cedric again.

My 1 day of glorious granite sport multi pitching with Cedric! The only route (??) to start from the sea was a great adventure with some exposed pitched of enjoyable climbing. Cedric was great: full of energy and enthusiasm and really motivating. Obviously extremely professional and handing out advice both with climbing technique and rope / safety.

IMPORTANT COMMENT: the trip couldn't be made due to the weather. But both Cedric as the backoffice team has been extremely helpful in finding an alternative and solution. Finally we didn't go because of illness of 2 of the group. But definitely I will look for another trip next year.
