Highlights

  • Conquer the Sexten Dolomites mountain range close to the German border.
  • Take in the stunning natural scenery of wild northern Italy.
  • Benefit from having a guide accompanying you in the Sexten Dolomites.

Description

Rising along the Dolomite mountain chain is the impressive and imposing Croda dei Toni, which measures 3,094 meters above sea level.

The rocky and rugged fortress overlooks the breathtaking valleys of Fiscalina Alta, Giralba and Val di Cengia.

Discover the deep sense of wild solitude among the Dolomite mountains and capture incredible panoramic views from the summit.

We’ll follow in the footprints of Michael Innerkofler, who was the first recorded to conquer the peak in 1877. We’ll retrace these steps of the climbing pioneers of the Dolomites.

The long route doesn’t present many technically difficult sections, yet it is necessary to have previous alpine climbing experience. It is a complex route dotted with rock faces.

Spend 2 full days of long climbs on quality rock formations, and capture unbelievable mountain memories.

We’ll slowly make our way to the summit that will take a lot of concentration for each step.

Beginning from the Zsigmondy-Comici hut in the early morning, a short crossroads brings us to the normal route.

Then a 5- to 6-hour climb ensues where we’ll get to grips with the dolomite rock.

Mountain Guide

I was born in the plain in 1983, but as often happens to those who were born there, I have always loved the mountains. I was three years old when I wore my first skis, not knowing that this would become my strongest passion ... Skiing, walking, climbing: it is since I was a child that I go to the mountains, first with my parents and my grandfather and then with my friends.

The degree in forestry science was only the logical consequence of this passion, as well as the beautiful summers spent managing the refuge Capanna Punta Penia in Marmolada (the highest refuge in the Dolomites, on top of the highest mountain in the Dolomites!), which I call "the bus without wheels" and all over the Dolomites!
The last step (for now...) was to become a Mountain Guide, to let you experience what the mountain transmits to me!
… and to show you the famous " bus without wheels”

Giovanni was an exceptionally wonderful guide! Our family spent the day with him climbing in Cinque Torri. He was incredibly patient with our children, and was able to find routes that we all enjoyed climbing. We loved every minute of the day and would recommend this trip to any family interested in doing some sport climbing near Cortina/Cinque Torri.
